Yesterday, we brought a group of SDCHM members to Mexicali for an incredible trip learning more about their Chinese community, building meaningful connections and exploring shared histories.  We started in the Centro Historico de Mexicali, visiting the headquarters of the Asociación China de Mexicali, learning more about the history and current programming that this alliance of Chinese residents and businesses provides to the community.

We later walked over to the Museo Wok, where a tour guide led us through both museum, later walking down to the underground tunnels of La Chinesca.

We ended the day at CETYS Universidad, where we met with the Sociedad de Alumnos CETY-China, in the university art gallery.  We wrapped up in the headquarters of the Programa Editorial with renowned poet (and head of the Programa Editorial de CETY Campus MXLI), Jorge Ortega:
