Summary
Dr. Virginia Loh-Hagan, Faculty Director of the SDSU Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Resource Center and children's book author, will share her research and knowledge about the paper son/daughter experience at Angel Island. This is the 2nd lecture of the mini-series celebrating Chinese Americans at SDSU.
Description
Dr. Virginia Loh-Hagan, Faculty Director of the SDSU Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Resource Center and children's book author, will share her research and knowledge about the paper son/daughter experience at Angel Island. She will also discuss the challenges of teaching about the paper son experience and the connections to today's political landscape. Author and physician Russell Low will join the conversation as discussant.
