Summary
Every first Sunday of the month, we hold a walking tour of San Diego's Asian Pacific Historic District, led by an SDCHM docent
Description
This walking tour of the Asian Pacific Thematic Historic District, led by an SDCHM docent, explores the Japanese Nihonmachi, the Filipino Quarter, and the African American Harlem of the West that existed with San Diego's little-known Chinatown from nearly 100 years ago. San Diego's Chinatown began in the area in the 1860s, settled by abalone fishermen but was also shared by the Japanese and Filipino communities.
You must register by Saturday, 01/04, in order to save your spot on the tour. If no participants have signed up before end of day 01/04, we will cancel the January tour (you can always sign up for the February tour!).
